3ma10
14-17 May 2010
Loßburg, Black Forest, Germany
As 2009
draws to an end and with the wonderful memories of 3ma09 in Turin
still indelibly engraved in our minds, we've been very busy planning
and organising next year's 131 jaunt which will take place in
Germany's Black Forest area.
We've
chosen Loßburg, a town in the district of Freudenstadt in
Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany and in the heart of
the Black Forest, as our base for 3ma10. The area is a
climatic health resort of international renown and being on
a high plateau within the Black Forest mountains, it is
well-known for its fresh air. The river Neckar, celebrated
for its scenic charm, flows through the south-eastern part
of the district. Its hilly banks are covered with fine
vineyards, orchards, and woods. It is navigable for
1,000-ton barges and is connected to the Danube by a canal.
There are more than 20 hydroelectric power plants on the
river.
Our
3ma10 organising team in Germany have been very busy
contacting many hotels in the area as well as planning our
driving routes and other activities.
We
have now chosen the Traube
Hotel and Restaurant in Lossburg as our accommodation
for 3ma10. Fully refurbished in 2008, the hotel has 37
comfortably furnished, non-smoking, en suite rooms equipped
with a range of modern amenities. The hotel also boasts a
spa area which features a sauna, a solarium, a massage
studio and a beauty parlour.
We have negotiated a special inclusive deal for dinner, bed
and breakfast and we'll also have free reserved and
exclusive parking for our 131s. Please see details of our
special 3ma10 hotel deal in the Travel & Accommodation section of our website and ensure
you book your rooms early to avoid disappointment as
alternative accommodation in the area is limited. |

With the
hotel deal finalised, our German organising team have turned their
attention to planning our driving routes and other activities for
the 4 days of 3ma10. For the first time next year we propose to have
"themed" days and drives. So one day will be themed "water" with
visits to
Triberg waterfalls,
Titisee,
Schluchsee and possibly even the
Rhine Falls in Switzerland. For the "mountain" theme day we
could visit
Feldberg and
Schauinsland and for the "car museum" theme day we have a choice
of the
Marxzell, the
Unimog Museum or the
Schramberg. Our fourth themed day is
still in the very early planning stages so we'll keep the details of
this one as a surprise!
We are very
much looking forward to 3ma10 and to meeting all of our friends from
the previous three 3ma meetings. We are of course also looking
forward to making lots of new 3ma friends at 3ma10.
If you are joining us for the 3ma in 2010 please complete the
3ma10 Registration form.
