We have seen it before, however, the current owner is still prepared to sell it. It is the monza blue one with the fabric sunroof. I believe he has been using it and therefore it should have a current MOT. He wants ?3800 for it.

People may have reservations about the colour and sunroof, but both of those difficulties could be overcome. If it is a good example (I have not seen it myself other than in a photo) the price seems very fair to me.

It is about time someone who wants a 131 sport snapped this up!

Dave,

Why you think the color and the sunroof might be a problem .

The color believe is a nice one, though maybe unusual nowadays.

In terms of sunroof. If I was looking for a 131 sunroof is something i would really want.If this one needs repair - this can be done.  If we can muster nuclear power and send a man to the moon we can certainly fix a sunroof !

From an internet posting I read elsewhere I believe the same man has it. I could have misread it however. I will check. Do you know the mans name in Ireland who bought it?

He says that he stopped advertising it due to timewasters and messers. But, he will sell for genuine offers over ?3800. Perhaps he told people it had been sold as he was fed up of enquiries and people making promises to view etc and not keeping them. Either way, if it is in good structural condition ?3800 sounds like a fair price in the current climate. As we know RHD sports are rare these days.

well i wasnt a timewaster i enquired about it with a view to buy it i have since found this site & got my 131 sport & as far as i can see the only messer was the seller, when selling a vehicle you do get a fair amount of timewasters but you cant tar everyone with that brush & tell them its sold just dont make sense, anyway i am very happy with my 131 & i will restore it properly, will keep me busy for a good while.

It may not be the ideal colour or spec for everybody, but as I said those two issues could be overcome. For anybody serious about buying a 131 sport, surely it has to be worth a look. The seller had it advertised for quite a while in various places including here and as far as I know nobody actually went to see it with cash in hand ready to buy if it was a good example. At the stated price it must be worth considering when people have bought LHD cars from Europe, paid more than that for them and had to pay the associated costs of importing the car.

I was also intrested, but with that colour i would have to change it back to it's original. That puts another 2500euro in Eire onto the price.I believe why the price went up ,is that sterling is so week against the euro.
I would prefer to go the road of Sid131,when finished you know what you have Wink. Also i do have the sellers number.PM me if anyone is intresting in buying it and i will pass the number to you. ::)Eugene ?

Fiat Mirafiori 131 Sport two litre twin cam.
Very respectable example of this now rare 1970/1980's classic Fiat. In very good condition mechanically and structurally. Many hours of time spent restoring this labour of love to roadworthy condition. (New MOT)
The rust situation is minimal on the bodywork and any structural rust has been dealt with during restoration. All brakes lines have been renewed with copper, new master cylinder, shoes, pads and braking system fully overhauled.
Colour of Monza blue is not original but very eye-catching and does make the car stand out. (Original colour was gun metal grey). The car does have a full-length canvas sunroof that gives it that retro Italian feel in summer. (What summer)
Engine has been recently tuned and runs well on high-octane petrol, giving you the classic twin cam rasp from a new custom exhaust system.
The asking price is ?3250 ono
Please email or call for any more details or to arrange viewing or test drive. No dreamers, Thanks.
