The first action I'll have on my 2009 planner will be "Find job"! If I find one then perhaps I can look forward to 3MA09 Roll Eyes

pls keep your Hitler jokes to yourself. And also insults like "German or Jap rubbish" as in another posting.

Happy new year to everyone else.

Well sorry Robert if you are unable to understand our sense of humour in Ireland as any one who knows me knows I dont like German cars or jap scrap but this was always done in non insulting way. If I was to insult the German people you would know as I had a great uncle executed without trial by the Gestapo in France while serving his country Sam Wallace of the Cockleshell Heroes. I would say Robert a sense of humour is essential for our survival in this world and this a Fiat site so it is for people with a love of Italian cars or as we sometimes call them "pasta eating cars Grin Grin" which I hope has not insulted another country now but I am sure most people understand why smilies are used in these postings as they show the tone in which it was typed.....

Oh and more importantly happy new year to all including Robert (as it would be very childish to exclude someone from a festive message)  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Any jokes are welcome as far as they exclude Hitler or other Nazis. You must know this is really something you must not joke about. I'm very far from being politically correct, but there are limits. See, I'd never make an IRA joke in this forum.  So, if you are proud to have foreign forum members, please refrain from upsetting them. Using smileys doesn't make a Nazi joke any funnier.

Sorry for being that stern. Normally, I'm a very amiable person. And, just to let you know, three members of my family died in Nazi concentration camps.

Happy new year.

I think a sense of humour download is badly needed as we all cant walk round with a chip on our shoulders as we would never get anywhere and find fault with everything we do.... I shall try and say no more as an insult could be read into anything I say here... oh I have slagged off the Lada's aswell...

I understand your point of view Robert and you are correct to come to your countrys defence as i would expect any person to defend his or her country.
It is best for all of us to keep unwelcome remarks to ourselves(as i have learnt myself)but if a distasteful remark  is posted about any country,i believe  as a citizen of your country, you reserve at all times the right to defend your state.

Hello Robert, Just to put in my 2 cents worth, I know TheRedX1/9 for many years. He is the least inoffensive guy you'll ever come across. It was light-hearted humour and therefore should not be taken up in the wrong way. It's a light-hearted forum with a bit of fun & it should stay that way.

Guys, thanx for clarifying words. As said, I'm (normally) quite amiable  Smiley however, there are keywords that make me skylark. I understand "theredx19" was just making a joke - so, sorry for harsh reply. However, I wanted to make my point. No offence if anyone makes fun of us Germans (you have every reason for that  Grin); just, please, leave Mr. H out of that. In my previous posting I gave you the reason why this makes me uneasy (to put it mildly).

OK, things settled I hope. "RedX19", if you ever come to Mainz, Germany, I owe you a pint (a real beer, no this strange black stuff you Irish folks are addicted to  Grin Grin). Back to lightheartedness  Smiley
