Hi check this thread out, he (shoota) had koni adjustable shock all round for sale might be sold but worth a try, he is sound man i got some parts off him no problem

Hi Mick Craig still had them when i got my parts but were too expensive to ship to Ireland, i didnt think they would hang around for long,
ebay germany would be a good bet think they are about ?200 for the front pair + post, good luck with the hunt!

Orange Racing I bought last weekend is equipped with adjustable air pressure -based MONROE suspension installed by importer. As unbelievable it is, it is working fine...

I do not know if this kind of suspension is approved in historic rally so if some one is interested, please let me know...

Get a bilstein B6 for Opel Astra GSi (for example 1992 year) it will fit nicely and is lot better than koni

It is as simple as it can be. You just need to get shocks from Opel Astra GSi or opel kadett GSi(from about 86-94 year all are the same). It will be easy job to fit it. I do not remember now if i had to put any spacers on the lower mount but the rest fits with no modifications.  Bilstein makes those shocks for opel and it is hard to find them for 131(only custom order) but both are the same.
B6 (yellow with 52mm tube) shocks work very well and i use them for years and the car handles on them very good, i cannot say the same about koni that i had this is why i suggest bilsteins.

You can also fit front strut inserts but you have to make a new mcperson housing(nothing too difficult - see second picture)

nice work there, did you make up the rose jointed 4 links & panhard rod?
its cheaper to get them in the states already made up than just to buy the rose joints here in Ireland i have been pricing for the AE86 axle which now has all the fiats mounts on.

I do such works all by myself, it is really easy if you have a MIG welder.

The bilstein B6 struts are not self adjustable but can be adjusted by a service and also can be rebuilt with no problem. It is the cheapest shock that gives a real rally performance that i know of. I used to deal with koni struts in my firends cars and unfortunately all of them ware bunch of craps that are only stiff but give nowhere near bilstein performance especially on bumpy roads. The great thing about bilsteins is that it can be set up this way so that the wheels are touching the ground all the time while it is not stiff like stone. Of course you can find better suspension but it will cost 4-8 times more for an adjustable coilover set that will give you an advantage over bilsteins but only if you are a very skilled driver. I do not think i would be able to get the best of Ohlins, Rieger Proflex or HP Sporting suspension.
