Rosi,

This is a very nice car. If you buy it and slaughter it to become an Abarth replica, you will have a lot of members here fall over you. There was recently a argument here about slashing up good Racings.
Also it's too expensive to make a replica of it.

Many thanks for your input. In switzerland is the problem, that a lot of wagon maker wouldn't works on rusting car.

Therefore i will find a swiss car with good condition and without rusting.

I understand. We all do. Who doesn't want a good 2 door body? But please don't cut up a perfect Racing for it. Try to find a lesser car to build yourself a replica. Even if it has a little rust. You will take off most of the bodywork, so if it's rusted you won't have a problem because you will throw it away anyway. The rest is easely restorable. Feel free to ask around here.
How much is CHF 16.000 in Euro's?

Really, too much to be cut up. For this price it should be as it is. It's wonderful restored. A beautyful example.
I'd swap it for my replica, but unfortunately it's just an empty shell on wheels right now. Cheesy Cheesy

Much too much money to waste on a replica donor car Rosi and a big shame to ruin a lovely example of a Racing.

This car might be a better bet - Although I think it has some rust around the A pillars.

Hi Kevin,

the car that is listed on mobile.de now for 4.500 ? was sold on ebay a few weeks ago for 2.260?  Cool

I visited the ebay-seller and had a look at the car. Not so bad but still a lot of work to do.

The mobile.de-seller just wants to make some quick money  Grin

That's interesting - I didn't see the car on Ebay.

Apparently it's a one owner car too - First price on Mobile.de was ?3900 but interest must have pushed the price upwards...well it is a free market after all... Wink

Hi Enzo,

It wil always be a point for discussion, i guess.
But yours was in a worse shape comparing to the one Rosi wanted to convert. I think he has turned away from that car. Smiley

Which idiot should pay over 10K for a nice car and destroy it with a lot of plastic Huh Huh

Aren't there more abandoned "Abarth"projects around as genuine original Racings?

Frequent forum visitors know my kind of view. 10 years ago it was already very difficult to find an original car in Switzerland.
A rusty car is no problem for great artists like Djape, Nick or Enzo Wink Cheesy

Here you are:

Fiat 131 Abarth Replica project. Chassis with 2.0 liter engine and all necessary papers needed. There is some minor rust that needs welding but most of that work is already done. Almost all the parts shown in the pictures are sold but there is still for sale:

- Chassis 800 EUR

- 2.0 TC engine without pistons 350 EUR

It is not Racing as you can see, so I think that it's OK to destroy this.
