My little rant Wink

Recently a couple of ebay sellers have listed lots of the same item for 'our' cars. My record was having to trawl through about 4 pages (200 items) of 131 brake discs!

I contacted ebay but unfortunately there is currently no way of ignoring multiple listings Cry

I don't know if others feel the same but it makes browsing the 131 section hard work!

My runt about ebay sellers is with the number of them listing EBC brake pads for the Gamma and they don't have them to sell  Angry  Four times I ordered AND PAID four different suppliers and they all came back and said "sorry, mistake we don't have any". They all removed their adverts only to put them back on a week or so later  Angry I complained to ebay but they just ignored me  Angry

This is a search I've got saved in Ebay, it reduces a lot of the rubbish, but not enough.
fiat, -seat, -seatbelt, -key, -keyring, -yamaha, -tunit and I search Australia only, unless I'm after something specific. I hate the multiple listings of discs, pads, cambelts etc. If particular sellers could be excluded it would make life much easier when searching.

Ive mentioned multiple sellers on e bay before, i myself bought (Buy it Now) Item from a multiple seller because i thought well its a rare item and if he has a few as advertised i should be OK, He didnt even have ONE, gave me some story about having sold his last one the day before, so after asking him for my money back and not getting any reply i had to resort to e bay resolutions centre. after about 8 weeks my moneys were refunded under the understanding that my action against the seller was to be dropped, just makes me wonder if its a scam to get your moneys into their bank accounts to gain a little interest. When i left negative feedback i was threatened with counter feedback which would have destroyed my existing 100% positive feedback, im afraid these con men know e bay inside out, my advice: dont buy from any multiple listings.
Note: these multiple listings are a result of ebays 'Free listing weekends' i have on several occasions asked e bay to stop this practice, im sure electronically it can be done after all if you have a few of one item you simply list the number you have in the single listing, the system even reduces the number automatically for you as they sell.

That's not a nice story Steve but at least you got your money back in the end. In my case I very quickly received a refund from all four sellers. I think the problem with the EBC brake suppliers is that they simply list the complete EBC catalogue and EBC must still list the Gamma in their catalogue even though they no longer have the brake pads. But I would have thought that once the sellers were made aware of this by me they would have stopped advertising the Gamma parts but they haven't  Angry
