Dear Exhibitor
Following the success of the 2012 Heritage Transport Show, I would like to annouce that the date for 2013 will be:
SATURDAY, 6th APRIL 2013.
Once again we will be working with Maidstone and District and East Kent Bus Club who provide visitors with the opportunity to ride on a number of vintage buses. We are also introducing a new autojumble section and talking to new auctioneers about re-introducing an auction.
We hope that the later date will enable even more exhibitors to enjoy the Show. Please let your friends and family know the date so they can put it in their diary?s. Further information and forms will follow in the autumn and pre-show tickets will be available on our website
www.kentshowground.co.uk from the beginning of January.
JUBILEE TRANSPORT SHOW AT THE KENT COUNTY SHOW 2012
In addition to the usual area of heritage vehicles at the Kent County Show (13, 14, 15 July 2012) we are introducing a special display of British Jubilee Transport to celebrate the Queen?s Diamond Jubilee.
We are looking for exhibitors with British vehicles manufactured from 1952/1953 to the present day to form a display within the Kent Pavilion in the centre of the Showground (the building we use at the Heritage Transport Show). This will be in the area next to the newly situated Members Area so will be visited by some of our prestigious Show visitors.
Due to the Heritage area only being able to accept vehicles which were manufactured until 1970, this display will enable some of our newer vehicles to be on display at the Kent County Show. As the area is in a building it will be fully secured with overnight security.
As the Kent Pavilion is being used as the Members Area this year there are a few rules and regualtions which need to be noted before entering your vehicle into this area:
Vehicles must be under 2.5m high due to the height of the cargo door.
Vehicles needing to enter via the cargo door will need to be in place by Tuesday 10 July and will not be able to leave the building until after midday on Monday 16 July. Vehicles which can enter through the doors (such as motorcycles and bicyles) can be placed on Wednesday and Thursday if necessary.
This is a static display only. Vehicles will be unable to join the Heritage Parade in the Astor Pavilion or around the Showground.
Exhibitors must provide their own drip trays as the building is carpeted.
Each exhibitor will be provided with two x three day passes to the Kent County Show. As the general public will be interested in your vehicles it would be good if they could be manned at points throughout the Show, however this is not essential. You will also receive a commentrative Diamond Jubilee Kent County Show brass.
I understand that some of you may have already entered the Heritage Section at the Kent County Show and we thank you for your support. If you know of anyone else who may be interested in joining us at the Kent County Show please pass this email onto them.
If you are interested in being part of this one off Diamond Jubilee Transport Celebration please email me your name, address, telephone number, make, model and manufacture date of your vehicle and any interesting information you have so that we can produce information cards for each of your vehicles.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Lucy
