Its been on Leboncoin for ages. Does anyone know anything about it?
Anyone fancy a run to near Dijon?

Well at that price you can't really go wrong Wink

Depending where you live it's a bit of a trek though to go and get it.

Photos do lie though so you'd really need to see it in person to judge its true condition. I'm sure it will need some restoration/welding work as 99% of them do whatever their price.

Yes maybe so but still worth a punt perhaps.

Got a french friend to translate...
Straight translation:
Selling 131 panorama break 1981
1600, 5speed
For restoration or breaking, non runner but starts fine (fuel pump broken)
Little rust. No CT, and log book [ i assume CG means Carte Bleue] to do (sale certificate/ receipt in my name). Not selling parts.
Will swap for old Renault [old as in pre1980 I assume] iMac, iPhone, etc..
First contact by email

I contacted the fella by e-mail; I guess he's had dreamers before because his curt reply was to "sorry, but I only deal with real buyers".  Well now he's said that, he's lit a fire under my ass because I think about that car every minute (well from 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday anyway).

Don't know if its come out but perhaps the attached image will explain why I'd be interested in an Azure blue 1600 S3 of any denomination.

One of the rarest 131's the Panorama now, I know that in Ireland their is only my one and a LHD too, the only one I know of in the UK is Mirafioriman's one. It's for nothing buy it and it's one of the best S3 colours and the same as the one in your photo Smiley

I have a very good front and rear bumper off my Panorama as I am putting super bumpers on my one.

Would you believe it but the seller doesn't want to talk to me! At least by email. I can't persuade him I'm a genuine buyer! His last email to me seemed to say he's sold the car, but then  goes on to say he doesn't want to get involved with time wasters. I was asking him if he could get a replacement Carte Grise for it so perhaps he just doesn't want to go to the trouble of organising (or hes not the owner??).
WTF do i do? !!
Suggestions would be welcome.

If it was me I would get someone in France to contact him and maybe they will have better luck, is there anyone here that is in France HuhHuh Some sellers can be very funny if they get calls or email from other countries.

OKAY. That's good that its not just me who has difficulties with getting themselves taken seriously. I think I spooked him with the CG situation. I've got a french friend who's a big Autoshite forum contributor so I'll  get him to ask if the panorama is still for sale.
I'll hold off antagonising the seller till I get a reply from my friend.
Fingers crossed cos I'm really on for this.

Nice one. Wonderful color too. Strange seats however.

Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to abandon the idea of bringing the car back because I won't have any export papers for it ('cos there's no CG and the seller won't or can't renew his ownership of them). My big worry is that I travel all the way down, pay the man, fil in the french buying certificate, tow the car back up to the french port and get stopped by their customs who then refuse the car's exit. I'd go home empty handed, wihilst having either consigned the car to a government crusher or to an impound area where the costs would escalate.
Its so bloody frustrating, just seeing a 131 sitting there - more so since its the spit of an old one we used to have and at a give away price.
Does anyone have any experience in making exports work given the CG situation?
Are there any French 131 forum bods who can help me?

There has to be someone on here in France Huh
If you did find someone in France could they reg the car and get the paper work ?
Have you tryed a transport company that take cars from France to UK ?

My old 1600/TC came from the South of France in 2009, it was driven back to Ireland with the France V5 in the owners name in South of France.
