131 Abarth Stradale worth

There is a chance I may be offered a 131 Abarth stradale. No idea of condition yet, haven't seen it. I'm told it's been restored at some point. No further info. 
Question. What do they really sell for? I've seen them advertised in Europe for stupid money. But I don't think they sell for that. Anyone know of any sales? Car condition? & the price they actually sold for?

The last completed sale that I know of, for a good condition blue car, was in late 2014 and the deal was struck for almost ?60,000 Sterling. I also know of a good Stradale changing hands during 2013 for similar money.

"The Belgian" (and I don't mean Hercule Poirot!) has several for sale and I think they start at around 55,000 Euros.

Tim Parker-Garner on Jersey had his 'well used' Group 4 replica (Stradale base car) for sale for ages at ?55,000 Sterling but I don't know whether he's sold it.

Whatever you pay expect to spend out further money as it will either be abused or have done 'low' miles, but either way the suspension bushes are likely to be shot. Also highly likely that the interior fabric will have deteriorated, hence a lot of car having had the front seats replaced.

When all is said and done it's as Jason says above - pay what you think is reasonable for that particular car.

hm, I don't think "the Belgian" will sell a 131 Abarth for 55.000.  The original Abarth Brava Gr4 has just been sold for ....... a gigantic amount of money.

And both Stradales have received bigger wings, rollcage, tripmeters, ...

As stated above: it depends for which amount the seller is prepared to let his car go and wether he needs to sell it.

As long as nobody sells for less (or at least not publishes the selling price) all prices will creap upwards.

I see the same with the Fiat Vignale Samantha.  One was sold in Athens by Coys for 29.000 euro two years ago and now you see that same car advertised in Germany for 39.000 and the other good ones have settled around that amount (30.000 - 45.000 euro).  Are they worth it?  Only the buyer knows :-)

If you lot in the UK and Ireland invest 15.000 to 25.000 in a 131 Sport, then why should one of the 400 131 Abarths not sell for triple that amount?

When you see a comparable Escort  rs 1800 mexico would be the equal to an Abarth
 at ? 76000..

There you are: why would you buy an Escort and be one of the 20-30 that start in every regularity rally if you can be one of the few wiith a 131 Abarth?

Rigth: because you want to be in a bigger group and not stand out?  Why not buy a 1100 cc Escort automatic then 

Things are what they are: 2-door 131's are getting expensive.  Even the WR from Mike, who some of you migth remember, recently sold for 7.500 euro and although it looked nice from a (large) distance it needed a full restoration.  And I know of another Racing, sound but in need of a paintjob, which was sold to the UK for 11.500 euro... to be turned into a Replica    The buyer is probably rigth: buying a healthy car is always the best thing to do.
