Hi Sid - This is at least the 5th time this car has been on Ebay.

The first time that I saw it was mid '06 before I found my own car. I believe that the car is a good one and had it inspected by a 131 authority that I knew, who lived in Switz but worked in Northern Italy (car is in Bergamo).

On his reccomendation I bid up to ?3500 but later learnt that the reserve had been ?5000. A subsequent price of ?4500 was agreed but then photos of rust spots were supplied (they are ringed in one photo on ebay) with no explanation and as the seller has NO words of English the transaction stalled.

The owner is obviously a big fan of 131s (regularly has 131 bits for sale on Ebay and you can see what else he has in his garage) and I would believe in hindsight that this is a car worth buying if it is still available at ?4500.

I'd have said that the yellow car was a genuine Stradale, but it's really difficult to tell for sure from the size and quality of the photo. Don't know about the white one.

The Racing still looks like a good car though, and I'm surprised it hasn't sold yet. Perhaps the price is a bit too steep for local buyers and those further away are put off by the two bits of rot that are highlighted Huh

Would have been a steal at 3,500 euro I'd have thought. Cool

It's a very nice looking car that looks original and not messed with; except for the wheels which I very much like anyway. But as Simon says (feel like bursting into song whenever I say that  Grin ) most people are probably put off by the two bits of rust shown. Obviously the seller is not trying to hide anything and even shows the rather tired (but not sagging) headlining. I am sure if the owner spent a small amount of money sorting out the bits of rust he'll see a great return on the investment and sell the car much easier and for more money.  The seller should also take some better photographs and take the original wheels out of the boot to photograph them so he doesn't make the car look like a storage shed!  Undecided

I'd say that's the best colour combination for a Sport/Racing  Cheesy Gunmetal grey outside and orange on the INSIDE!  Grin Grin Grin

I haven't heard it yet? Roll Eyes but if he has it in the car when we do the Recce for the 3MA08 together at the end of this month he's likely to have to find his own way home from Inverness.......but only after he's visited a medical practitioner to have it surgically removed from a very personal orifice Shocked Shocked?
