Surprised this hasn't sold in over a year. I think the low mileage engine being modified has put potential buyers off.

I know it's silly, he has every Mot or Sorn notice to verify the mileage & the car is solid.
All the engine work that has been done is a Big improvement over a standard engine, it still drives like a normal 130TC it's just accelerates harder and faster.
He's owned over 30 130TC's & kept this one as it's by far the best.
?1000 to ?1500 will get you a rotten restoration project needing bodywork/panels,paint & mechanical work. I've just sold a lot of panels to a guy who bought one on Ebay for ?980.
?3000 will get you a restored car with 80 to 100k and not a lot of history with it.
?6000 will get you a restored car for sale at a Classic Car Company.
The UK is the cheapest place in Europe to buy a 130Tc.

True say, if i didn't have one already i would of had this. I have heard it run and been on the runway with it in my old Sport at Bruntingthorpe.

Rob will regret it later......i would hold on to it.

You really have to drive a well set up 130TC to understand why they're so different to any other hot hatch from the 80's, as soon as you touch the gas theres an instant surge of power from tickover all the way to the redline. The close ratio ZF gearbox, the Recaro seats that hug you in place, the steering feel & amazing handling, the Abarth tuned engine and twin40's sound all put a massive grin on your face every time you drive one.
Has to be one of the most underrated classic cars out there, with only 600 imported to England in the 80's  and now less than 40 left.
To think at the minute you can buy a solid low mileage 130TC Abarth for the price of a 131 Sport restoration project is crazy!
Prices will only go up for good 130TC'S

I agree with you Tato King.

Never driven one, but I have heard they are fantastic.

Red has to be the colour.

On the ealier one's 84 & 85, didn't they do a nice mid green metallic Smiley

Yes it was a light grey colour with green mixed in.
My brother had one in the mid 90's that he bought as a cheapie run about for ?450 "Rusty" and used it every day for 6 years. It had a very strong engine, Koni's suspension and was fast but the car had big rust holes in the rear qtr's.
Used to race a lot of cars in that, funny when they would catch up at the next set of lights and see they'd been beaten by a rusty old Fiat with holes in it's panels Grin

If it's the black E-reg 130TC that sold recently for ?3k it was on it's way through France to it's new owners home and was hit by a truck turning in to his lane, damaged the rear qtr, door and front wing and all the plastic trim too pushing the car down the road in front of the truck.
The new owner is OK but is sick about the car, luckily we've got a rear qtr and all the plastic trim for him.
