So, if the Jersey 131 abarth Gr4 rep is ?50k what on earth would this genuine one cost?

If this is really the one, driven by Zanini, then it is worth between 140K en 150K. There were two works cars that went to spain for rallying. They were called SEAT, but were in fact two from the first series.

Rob,

It's not a debate. That's the price a genuine group 4 car costs. One could debate if it's worth that price, but that's what they are sold for.

Would you believe this car was offered to me a couple of years ago? Couldn't afford it. Undecided

Please bear in mind that the Jersey 'replica' is in fact a genuine Stradale underneath. It's the fact that it's been made to look like a Group 4 car that makes it a replica  Wink

I live on Jersey so know of this car and also that's its a stradale so was only loosely using the term rep in respect of it's GR4 look/enhancements. It's an awesome thing if you ever get the chance to see it. Price wise, I don't know where it sits. What does a 131 Stradale usually go for these days?

A Stradale's price depends on it's state. 30K for a nice one and 40K for a perfect example. Everything in between depends on seller and buyer.

I've seen Tim's car several times before - there are not many genuine 131 Abarth's about so those of us who own one tend to know other 'local' owners. Grin

I think you're being a bit 'low' with your valuation of Stradales, Mike. I think they are changing hands for a few grand more than you are suggesting. I wouldn't describe mine as perfect at all but would value it at around ?40k. (In fact the renown Abarth Specialist Tony Castle-Miller from Middle Barton Garage valued my car at ?45k having seen it only two weeks ago  Wink). I would be unsurprised to see a perfect one go for more than ?50k. In fact I know of a very low mileage Stradale in Switzerland that is currently for sale and there is a serious buyer at ?75k!!! Shocked Shocked That car is mint though, and hardly been used.

Lots of figures being quoted here, which is unusual for this forum Wink Wink

What then is a restored, useable in good but not mint condition LHD Sport / Racing worth in one of the original colours.

I know it's an old topic but I would appreciate people's 'current' opinions. Classic car magazines indicate around 3k  Shocked Shocked. I wish

About 7 years ago i sold my red Stradale for 36.000 Euro's. The car had a set of twin 500 mm carbs and special suspension. Some extra gauges and bucket seats with Sabelt seatbelts.
Now, 7 years later it is very possible the price is up. We discusted this before. It all depends on what anybody is willing to pay. If i had me a 40K i would surely persue a Stradale. But i don't and besides, i need every f Wink  Cheesy king Euro for my group 4 car, which will be "worth" around 150.000 Euro's when it's finished. This is the price they go for. But i'm not planning to sell my baby.
Good Racings/Sports will go for around 10K. There's always someone who's willing to pay that money. Not here in Holland though. Undecided

I'd very much like to get a UK sport at some point. I think the Classic Car magazine price guides are often very low or well behind the times. For a good Sport I'd be still interested at ?10k, for a mint one even more, possibly way more. Still good value when you compare to Rs2000, etc. It seems UK cars don't come up very often so if you really want to buy one, then I would expect to have to pay a good price to persuade one of the very few owners out there to actually sell.

There was a debate a few months ago regarding RS 2000 prices in comparison with 131 Sports.

A mint RS had been auctioned off last year and as I can recall fetched under 10k. That would indicate that 131 Sport prices are higher provided they are being acheived.

The problem is there are more 131 Sport buyers then cars.

As much as I like Lancia Beta's, Fiat Strada 130 TC's, Lancia Delta's and various Alfas, it has to be a 131 for me.
