Further to my last post in the Project Section, here are some pics showing the differences in the Volumex and N/A Twin Cam heads, mainly the location of the inlet studs between the middle two cylinders...

Apologies for the poor quality Roll Eyes.

This is the 1.8 head..


This is the Volumex head. The centre inlet studs sit lower on the side of the head than the N/A one. It does though, have holes just above the studs ( just about visible ) that match the position of the studs in the head above.


This would explain why the pic below shows the VX manifold pointing up towards the cam wheels

Another difference is the exhaust valves in a vx head are sodium filled due to the heat and should be changed at this stage as sodium is very corrosive...
