I've never heard of a Croma V6 before....nor of any 6 cylinder engined Fiat in production for many years.....The engine looks like an Alfa 6 cyclinder - Maybe it's just been re-badged...?

Wonder what it sounds and goes like...?! Wink

Was it not the diesel engine that had that capacity..?  Smiley

Hi Kev,

the engine is a rebadged Alfa Romeo 2.5l V6 also found in the Alfa 155.

If you are interested in the car, let me know, it's located only 35km from here

wow, I've never heard of a croma with a factory alfa engine. but thats what it is!

I think there are (were? haha) a few croma v6's in NZ, but all with a 2. PRV v6 engine, although I may be getting confused with lancia themas since they are pretty much the same thing.

Final versions of the croma had the alfa v6 (and the 2L model got the 16v head). I don't think we got them in NZ. To confuse things more, the 2.8 PRV v6 in the Thema, which was pretty common here,  got replaced with an Alfa one in final versions of that model. Late Themas (often wagons) with the Alfa v6 show up for auction in Japan a bit still. There's a decent rundown of engine variants on carsfromitaly site.
