I have a 10/39 on my auto 1600 TC. I think that in the cars specs is the the one that is supposed to be. But I,m not sure since the car was third hand to me. Can you find out if its the right one?

Anyway thank you for trying. Back to the main theme. Selem maybe some competition camshafts and bigger twin carbs should do the trick...

There's a lot you can do to get more Bhp from your engine. I know it's possible to get 230 from a Ritmo 13o TC engine. It was done here in Holland. Just for information, I drove the car and it was a drag to handle. It was spinning in 3th gear. Front was all over the road, to say. Anyway, you shouldn't have that problem since the Abarth cars had as many horsepower.
You'd have to exchange a lot of parts to get that far. And it will be expensive too.

Hay selem,

Do you have to keep to the 1600?  everything you do to the 1.6 will fit the 2.0Ltr and give you far more usable torque. Head, cams, carbs (need re-jet)  If you decide to change the engine, remember the pistons from a 1.6 when put straight into a 2Ltr raise the compressions = more power for free, and make all your other stuff work even better.

           Regards

                    Roger.............

P.s  done this, you should get 130mph+  and it will push a 3.5 diff

ya I think so competition camshaft and twin carbs is a easy trick.
toad,
in year 2000 I've already put 2 liter engine but have bad luck the engine always trouble than after few year already fade up and thrown away and put 1600tc till now.
from my experiance 2 liter engine doesnt match with 1.6 rear diff and feel like not enough gear to running Smiley somemore cornering feel not stable cos of heavy nose but this not big issue Grin
thanks all for info.

Selem,

Try to get hold of a 1800 TC. That's the best one they made. Problem is only that there aren't that many as 1600's or 2000's. You can push the 1800 harder.

Use the 3.5 diff and make use of the 2Ltr Torque,  or run the engine to 7500- 8000,  and run a 4.1   A good big'n will always beat a good little'n

 Catch you later

P.S  Toad went up against an 1800124 sport(Lighter weight)  with its 2Ltr
