Hi all,

My restoration project still going very slowly and I try to collect missing parts.

I just ordered weber 40 idf rebuild kit and prepare a list for the main jets, air corrction jets, idle jets and pump jets.

I also need to replace faulty screw / jet but I dont know what is it name. I post picture which show unscrewed one Can you please help me to find out its name. I mentioned the screw which is yellowish color and just seen at the right of the inlet manifolds "2000" stamp / mark

Thanx but couldnt find it in that website. As I understand it is a weber 40 idf 13 / 15 specific. Each carb have two of them and one of the carbs I have one faulty which stick inside and someone damaged it before I bought carbs. It doesnt have anything to put screw driver and unscrew it  Sad

It's not the emulsion tube. Don't know the name of it, but after recently rebuilding and fitting IDFs to my 131, it is definitely a separate item to the emulsion tubes. I had a good exploded view of the 13/15 carbs but deleted it and can't find the site I got it from.

Hello,

Thanks for your replies. This schematic is belongs to the weber 40 idf 70 or XE type they are later type and different than early weber 40 idf 13/15 which are fitted by fiat factory to the Fiat 124 Sport models and was an option Fiat 131 's  also some independent tuning firms like Hormann also fitted these.

Anyway I found out name of the part. It is called "Starter jet" this morning my repairman manage to remove faulty / sticky starter jet without damage the carb.

I am waiting rebuild kits and correct jets in order clean and assemble carbs.

Cheers

Ali

Hello,

Here is the carb jetting ;

34mm choke tubes (32mm standard chokes bored out)

145 main jets

180 air correction jets

45 pump jets

55 idle jets

F11 emulsion tubes

I know that it is not best / dyno proven jetting butI thought  and hope it will work with my vehicle 's engine which is mildly modified

Engine specs 85mm high compression pistons, 124 abarth cylinder head mildly ported, cr is between approximately 10.5 / 1 (in anycase not less then 10.3 / 1 and not more than 10.9 / 1 )

4-1 exhaust manifold, gc specs flywheel.

I also planning to put performance camshafts
