Fiat 131 - VFP783X

« on: December 26, 2008, 09:10:40 PM »

Taken at a FTCR AGM approx 14 years ago now.
The 132 may have belonged to a current member of this Forum I think ?
Don't believe this one has been posted before.

I could be wrong, not sure If I have any photos or written evidence to prove it, but the white 131 may have become mine. When I was building WAO 708Y (see my post in the projects section) I bought a 131 Supermirafiori 2000 as a spares car to do the conversion. I have a feeling this may be the car. It came from near Wrexham and looked pretty good having been resprayed at some point. When I stripped it it turned out to have a very, very rotten floorpan and it got scrapped. Only after everything (and I mean everything) had been stripped off the shell. Have you got any more photos of it?

Looks like the 132 in the photo was Jason's car.

Hi Dave, Thanks for that
Will have another search, found the V5 for that green Mk2 I sold to Guy reg was XDY267T
& the sport was in fact ESC169W previous owner from Glasgow Alan McGregor before him Christopher Jack of Ardrossan.

I have just found some old papers with various contact details, and recall viewing a Mk3 rebuild / shell & parts car in a farm barn somewhere in Lincolnshire, seems a good place for 131's? perhaps their nice flat fast roads ??

Kept origianl evening post advert for my car which I purchased 2nd week after price dropped from ?500 to ?450 which I actually paid in May 1995.

Skoda 130 Limited Edition ?400, 1978 Toyaota Celica ST mint open to offers......good old days.

Anyway will keep looking for further pics, so much to clear out !!
