The midnight oil is also being burned in Co Waterford by Mark Williams as he races against time to get his chariot ready for the big event.

Mark is seeking the original black coachwork with beige/gold trim look and has just had the plastic bits returned from the bodyshop. Here is a picture of them just fitted. They seem to have lined up very well with none of that mis-alignment that can happen with these fittings.

The current white wheels will be replaced by the 13 inch cromadoras that were standard on the Irish spec cars and a red interior will be fitted. He has just managed to source clips for the side body trim so that will be going on soon as well. The indicators lens' are brand new.

Another update from Mark

He has fitted the Irish spec alloys along with 205/60/13 tyres. Apparently they look the "biz" as Mark is very pleased with the look.

Last job is to fit the carb, some polishing and to do some last minute test driving ahead of hooking up with the UK 131 Convoy on Thursday afternoon.

Theo/Si/Andy/Anita - I think there may be a stop off on route to have a look at Mark's 131 collection... if a break in the journey is required!? Grin Wink
