Hi!
Its a mk1 series -75 to -77 with the OHV engine, what sides are the starters?

Mk 2 and 3 had the 131 BB gearbox, the difference is that the 131AB has a smaller bearing in the front of the gearbox, mk2 and 3 only had different sides for the starter, for the CL with the OHV and the DOCH!

Hi
The starters on both gearboxes are on the right hand side looking from the front of the bell housing.
Are the ratios the same in both gearboxes, is one gearbox better than the other?

I am looking to use the sport gearbox in my 124 coupe and really want to know if the other one would be a good spare.

Hi Steve!
The AB box can be from an early 132 as well beacause of the starer possition, they used the same gearboxes as 131.
The ratios is almost the same on all these gearboxes.

I dont think it matters but i would go for the BB and use the AB as a spare.
