I went yesterday (Friday) and it was a great show. But first I was reminded why I gave up going to this show a few years ago. THE MEGALOMANIAC, DICTATORIAL, POWER-CRAZY, ARROGANT CAR PARK ATTENDANTS!  Angry Angry  There's probably 67 paved or tarmacked car parks at the NEC and most were half-empty but they wanted me to park in a muddy field!  Angry I simply ignored them, went past them and turned left in the nearly empty N10 car park. I was expecting to go back and find my tyres slashed or my car towed but luckily all was fine  Cheesy

I should have got there earlier than midday as there was a lot to see. I only had 5 hours there and I met up with lots of people which meant a lot of chatting took place  Grin  so I didn't get to see everything  Embarrassed

Here's some of my photos from yesterday.

Unfortunately the lighting at the show wasn't good and in fact particularly bad near the Fiat and Lancia stands where a number of lights were out. I took a small camera with a useless flash with me so apologies for the poor quality of some of the photos.

The rest of my photos can be seen at http://s1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff477/TheoKyriacou/NEC%20Classic%20Motor%20Show%202012/?albumview=slideshow

The pics are fine Theo...I never thought I'd say this ...but...those Classic Pandas are kind of...ummm...cute.  Smiley

Nice to see a Twin Cam there too in the form of the Bellini.

I had a great day there with my son and a friend. Really quite an impressive show.

Surprised that there were no 131's. Lovely 132 as per Theo's pictures and many nice Lancia Beta's.

My friend is a real photographer type so I will post his 'many pictures'.

I missed the start of the Silverstone Auction. Any idea what the Lancia Gamma wne for.

Good buy judging by the condition. I assume the purchaser is on your Gamma Forum.

No, don't know who bought the car. I suspect it was a dealer and probably not in the UK. The car was 'de-registered' in Italy and was not registered anywhere else. So it would have needed a bit of work and quite a bit of paperwork before it could be registered in the UK and would have to be trailered everywhere so more suited to a dealer.

I'm sure the Gamma will turn up somewhere.
