Hi you's in the  far North. You to Nick.Need to pick your brains on a conversion. When  you convert a 131R into a Stradale ( Bastardise )  do you need to fit roll cage  etc to strengthen body.Only looking a having hot motor and use as daily drive and odd track day. Cheers Gary

Welcome!

No you do not need to fit a cage for such use.

If you drive very hard daily and do a lot  or racing or your racing are stages on gravel or very poor roads than maybe additional welding of the undercarriage could be considered.

If you paint the car blue and white it weakens the whole vehicle and it needs a roll cage.   Any other colour doesn't need a roll cage. Grin

Black Stradale would suit the owner. I agree with you on the lock up. Would make a great collective 131 project area.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Blue to match my innocent blue eyes and white to match my purity are the two colours to go for.

Actually if you paint it red it strengthens the body structure and than you can cut the roof off and  have a stradale convertible !

I see that the red paint that strengthens body structure has also been used on your race suit, obviously no power steering required on this car!
