That's Saturday 20th of April Jason!

I went to this a couple of years ago (http://s1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff477/TheoKyriacou/BIAMF/?albumview=slideshow (http://s1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff477/TheoKyriacou/BIAMF/?albumview=slideshow)) and it's an excellent show. I would have gone last year too but it clashed with Spa-Italia and I couldn't give up the chance to drive round the Spa F1 circuit  ;D (http://s801.beta.photobucket.com/user/Thotos/library/SpaItalia%202012 (http://s801.beta.photobucket.com/user/Thotos/library/SpaItalia%202012)). I'll probably be going again this year. Thanks for reminding me Jason  :D

The picture of the Gamma's in SPA look great :)

What do Gamma's drive like; often wondered.

Nothing like a 131  ;D

My slightly biased opinion will describe a Gamma as the best handling car of its size. If you've ever driven an Alfasud then you're close to knowing how a Gamma handles. This month's (April issue) of Auto Italia has an article on the Gamma Coupe (using a blue Series 1 Gamma that was at Spa  ;)) and it claims the Gamma Coupe was just a big mistake  :-[  Also claims that the Gamma chassis was based on the Fiat 130 (which most certainly was not) so that should tell you how seriously you should take the Auto Italia article.

Interesting :)

Without saying 'there just different' or 'you can't really compare' or something similar:

Which do you prefer the Gamma or the 131 ;D ;D

It's decision time.

Can't answer that other than say "you can't really compare". And while I tried to answer that question myself, I couldn't and still can't. About 10 years ago I used to drive a Maserati Biturbo as my every day car. Then in the summer of 2005 I must have bumped my head or something as I decided that I should be sensible and get a modern car and get rid of all the old ones and just keep one classic for "weekend fun". So I parked the Maserati and went out and bought a Mercedes. And then I had to decide which classic car I preferred so I'd keep that one and get rid of the rest, but I couldn't decide.

How many children do you have? Can you decide that you prefer one more than the other?  ;D  It's the same with the Gamma and the 131; there's no way I could decide I prefer one over the other  ;D Maybe that's why I have just the one daughter....  ;D ;D

Theo

I never expected you to decide  ;) But I thought I'd try....

I've never really got attached to cars except perhaps my 330i Sport (Bought for my 30th Birthday) or maybe even the Alfa.

However, if I got my hands on a 'Facelift 2011 plus Jaguar XF' then I am sure I could get very attached.

Especially in Italian Racing Red ;D ;D

Didn't affect my mood at all. There are so many misconceptions about the Gamma that Gamma owners have learned to take everything with a pinch of salt  ;D  And as I said, I cannot take seriously any article that claims the Gamma chassis was based on the Fiat 130. It just shows how ignorant the writer is about the car and how little research was done. The pictures look great though  ;)
