Just after that heart stoping momment when a water pump bolt gets stiff,,,( then sheers off ) luckly it a came out with a little too and frowing ; )




 all done now, after an ages wait for the fan to finnally kickin

Perhaps it was just a prevention job to eliminate a potential 3MA failure point?

These pumps are quite readily available as the twin cam engine was used in so many models. But the pumps for later engines fitted to FWD cars with inlet and exhaust the other way round, e.g. Fiat Croma, are slightly different as I found out the hard way when I tried to fit a 131 water pump to my Fiat Croma. I can't remember the exact difference but I think it's the fixing for the small metal pipe that's different.
