I'd love to know whether this car is still 'alive' Undecided. She (the only car I have ever 'sexed'!) was my daily driver from Sept 1986 to June 1991, when she was replaced by a then 2 year old Tipo 1.6 DGT SX, which at the time I thought was a good idea Shocked.

The Super was a 4 door 2000TC series 3 saloon in 613 Azure blue, registered in December 1982 by Tony Brooks Ltd, then a very large Fiat and Lancia main dealer in Byfleet, Surrey, England.

I purchased her from a guy in Marlow, Bucks for the princely sum of ?1,100 in mint condition with 73k miles on the clock, and sold her for ?325 with 125k miles and the big ends knocking like crazy Cry. Being my daily driver I was using her for the 'commute' from home in Surrey to my company's 'other' office in Oxford, and was forced to use her with the head gasket blowing oil for several thousand miles. The guy that brought the car from me was going to drop in a diesel engine Shocked but I don't know if he ever did, and I have never heard of the car again. Cry

Luckily, I was at a mates wedding when my Dad sold the car. I could never have been at home and seen it drive off.  Cry

It holds such memories for me this car. I borrowed the money from my then girlfriend's Mum to buy it, whilst waiting for a fire claim to pay out for my first black Sport, NPF 962W - but that's another story Undecided.

There are so many stories I could tell you about XPE, but I'd bore you all to death. I'll see if I can dig out some old pics and scan them in.

A pic taken at my mate's wedding back in 1990, with my old love in the background. Grin

She was used as a wedding car for both this wedding and my Mother-in-Law's second wedding in 1989. I'll see if I can find some more pics of it in it's wedding dress Grin

The paint code is 613, and it's called Azure Blue  Grin Yeah, my favorite colour on a series 3 Super too, although I also loved them in dark blue (sort of a midnight blue colour) with 14" steels. Grin
