Title: Cross member Post by: finnie on March 09, 2014, 10:09:31 PM Recently bought some very nice parts from Marko on here but only found out this weekend that my front cross member
is different to anything else that I've seen and also my gearbox mount is different .My car is a series 3 131 . Has this car been messed about with -it`s a import- or are these 2 items different? the rest of the cross-members ,it's due to the power steering set up on the later models.. its mounting holes for the steering rack are in a slightly different position and on the series 3 the steering column from the wheel to the rack is shorter & thicker than the rest. There's a thread on this forum about them as Kevin had trouble sourcing a new mount for his Series 3 Super.

As far as I know all series 3 131's have power steering .. but not 100% on that .. but any I have ever seen have.. I fitted it to my CL that I turned into a series 2/3 Supermirafiori hybrid.
I have some power steering parts but haven't decided yet if I should convert my Supermirafiori or Panorama.
