Gentlemen ( and ladies of course ! ),

As well as being the proud and priveleged owner of a beautiful 131 Racing, I have owned a Sunbeam Lotus for a few years now.  Strangely, the owners club just made me Chairman !  So, we are holding our annual National Day at Curborough Sprint course on Saturday 3rd September 2011.  Quite frankly, we need some numbers and we are formally inviting any Fiat 131 Sports, Racing, Stradale's, Abarth, Group 4 or any derivative that can enjoy some track action.  Sure, if you have a Panorama Estate, your also welcome, but not so sure you would enjoy taking it round the circuit !

Entry to our event is FREE but there is a fee ( around ?25-?35, but not yet finalised ) to use the track.  If we can get say 10 or more of you guys to attend, then that would be great.  AND AS AN INCENTIVE, the first 5 that confirm attendance who want to use the track, I WILL PAY FROM MY OWN POCKET.

We at Sunbeam Lotus world give a lot of respect to Fiat 131 world; as you can gather, proof is that I have both !  They are two very similar cars of the era, yet they are also very different.  Each deserving their own individual respect.

So, come on guys...........get your super fast, wide arched, small animal sucking carb'd engined 131's ready and join a group of likeminded hooligans for a good day out.

Please reply by forum or PM and I'll give you further details.

Perry

Thats a very generous offer Perry - I hope you get a good take up.  Smiley

I remember when these cars were launched - Around the same time as the 1600 Ti I think which was probably a closer market competitor to the standard 131 Sport... that the 2.2 Lotus.  Smiley

Thanks for the invite Perry, would love to be there.

Will have to double check the date though as I think it clashes with the Rally Day at Castle Combe that I have already committed to be at. Undecided
