And, on the lighter side, here's a picture of the legendary Wolpertinger (see here for details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolpertinger) I managed to take today:

3rd ERT, done today, see some impressions from "Lake Day" which will be the first day of 3MA2013, intended as a "warming up" event  Wink the itinerary will be: Lake Starnberg, with a coffee break at one of my all-time favorite spots on the lake; climbing up the Hoher Peissenberg that features (on a clear day) a marvelous panorama of the Alps; a visit to Andechs Abbey on the "holy mountain" above Lake Ammersee  where the monks have been brewing well renowned (and strong!) beer for more than 900 years - we will have a late lunch there (we Bavarians call this a "brotzeit"); and back to Miesbach (240 km round trip). Here's some pics taken on a cold, windy April day:

Again, on the lighter side, here's a machine that stands on top of the Hoher Peissenberg: The fabulous "Tourist Sound". Upon inserting 1 Euro, you will be able to listen to "Interesting Info on the Hoher Peissenberg, its pilgrimage church and the weather station".

This 3MA seems to have a very civilised and cultural flavour Robert. I think you must be optimising the experience for the predominant 131 version namely Series 3 Supermirafioris whose drivers will probably be embarrassed by too many Alpine hairpin bends!  Smiley

FRT (Final Reconnaissance Trip) finished today, and behold! finally the sun came out (although only at an altitude of 1400 meters) - see how awe-inspiring the Alps can be! This tour takes us up to an elevation of 1570 meters; round trip from Miesbach is 290 km, but with an Autobahn interlude of 80 km at the end of the trip  Wink.

All 3MA2013 participants may want to check the brakes of their cars, since there are some steep and long descents - even the Mercedes, with 4 disc brakes, showed brake fading down the Ro?feld  Cool - also it might be a good idea to bring some spare brake pads?

This year it will be impossible for me, but, I have a question, Spain France, Switzerland Italy and so on, do they have GPL fuel stations? because I did 2 trips with a friend of mine on a 130 coupe... it where about 5000km's per trip but fuel costs are nowadays impossible to keep... :s
