As you prepare for your departure to 3ma13 I wish you all a safe and fun journey.  I follow the forum groups posts and wish the distance was not as great as it is or I would be joining in the fun.  I was born in Germany and would like to return someday with or without my 131.  But there is always next year for the 40th anniversary of the 131.... I can hope for a windfall to come my way.  Be careful in your travels,  Mike Stinson

Thanks a lot Mike.

Preparations are in full swing in my place...have been for some time now. It's the longest drive ever for me in a 131 so I'm hoping for 100% reliability - I think I've taken as many precautions as possible at this stage and I'm feeling relatively confident. Touch wood.....etc  Smiley

Things are coming along nicely.

Car got new Mot on Monday and will get new tyres this Friday. Already changed the oil and filters...  Smiley

It is time to start cleaning and polishing  Grin Wink

Car got new MOT on tuesday and today a new set of tyres  Cool and, thanks to a fast part shipment from Heini, a new (used) trailing arm for the rear axle - see for yourself what can happen and is extremely difficult to find, since the axle prevents a close view!  Shocked
