Title: Carbs Post by: MF 131 on March 30, 2008, 11:49:20 PM Hi Looking at fitting twin 40 side draughts weber or dellortos on my 131r/sport.It has been fitted with 1608 cams ( cam driven dizzy) What would the best size chokes etc. Leaving the standard exhaust manifold but putting 2 inch pipe. Any help would be appeciated.Cheers Gary

Title: Re: Carbs Post by: Tas131 on April 08, 2008, 07:21:06 AM This chart shows venturi size for a throat per cylinder :ie for a 2litre you'd be looking at 500cc per cylinder. If you want a 2 litre to breath well up to 6k/rpm, 37mm venturis are required, although for a non race setup 34 or 35 is plenty. I had 32mm venturis on my warmed 2 litre and it started running out of puff around 5500, but it did rev to 6500.
