Post by: effe131 on February 02, 2007, 06:03:51 PM I would want to participate to votro the huge gathering, but unfortunately I have 2 difficolta that me they would prevent: - they are leggermente far away, they are of Turin-Italy... - I do not have still the 131... :-[ would appeal to truly to participate to me it is in order to see many 131 mirafiori all together and is in order to see your beautifulst nation... :D and obviously to visit it... what me advised? hello to all from Turin, in these days we have in city one great festivity for the launch of the Fiat new Bravo... ;D

Post by: Thotos on February 02, 2007, 08:08:55 PM I can confirm that your first difficulty of the distance from Turin-Italy is not a problem. I have driven to Turin and back from the UK 3 times (1983, 1993, 2006). The first time in 1983 was in a 131 Special (series 1 1600 OHV). You might think that Ireland is further to travel than the UK but it's not if you take the overnight ferry crossing from Cherbourg, France to Rosslare in Ireland.

Yes we hope to have at least one car from Germany, maybe one from France, at least 3 from UK... but are hoping for about 5 or 6. Somone in Hungary is seriously considering it although it may not suit his plans. If everything goes well maybe 10/12 from Ireland so far. There are many 131s in North Italy (I see them regularly for sale in Milano, Bergamo, Pisa, Torino, etc). It would be great to get a convoy of Mirafioris from the home of the 131! |
