Dining alternatives in Killarney

Hello together,

I've been wondering, if dinner in Killarney Heights Hotel is sort of a group event, or if it is also possible to book B&B and then go looking for different dining places in Killarney? I have no idea how the dining-situation in Killarney is, but please let me know ;-)

The Heights Hotel deal is something we negotiated for our group but you are not obliged to stay on dinner bed and breakfast basis on indeed stay at the Heights Hotel at all. I think you'll find though that staying at the Heights in May without the inclusive dinner will not save you as much as ?120. We felt that after a day's driving we didn't want to have to scout Killarney for a restaurant big enough to take our whole group and therefore worked hard to find a hotel that offered reasonably priced good accommodation as well as a large enough car park and a decent restaurant.

The Heights Hotel's Mill Restaurant specialises in Irish and international cuisine. With an abundance of fresh local produce, our menus change to reflect seasonality and availability and our cellars stock only the finest wines from around the world. 

Our Restaurant serves both table d'h?te and ? la carte menus and is open nightly from 6.30pm to 9.00pm. We can cater for large groups or private parties. Please let us know if you have any special dietary requirements.

You can also enjoy fresh roasts and traditional, homecooked food from our extensive carvery menu, with Sunday lunch our speciality.
 
Step back in time and enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere of the Mill Bar, with its traditional Liscannor stone floors, 200-year-old pine furnishings, open fires, traditional live music and good old fashioned hospitality.

We also serve soups, salads, light snacks and afternoon tea in the Mill Bar. The bar menu and children's menu are available from 12.30-9pm daily.

I was just wondering, what the alternatives look like.

But I guess it will be the Heights Hotel then
