Likewise i ran twin 40 webbers on the side of a 2litre twincam fiat engine for years &
never had an issue with fuel starvation ..the mechanical pump is well able for the job..

Had twin sidedraft 44's on my Panorama, also with mechanical pump. Never any problem.

I drove mine 2.0 really hard with twin 4o IDF setup and never had a problem with fuel starvation.

The problem is elsewhere.
