just home from auto italia show in brooklands
what a show, just about every car to come out of italy
was there,
first we bumped in to theo with his car, then we spotted waynes car
then we had an informal 131 meeting at simons abarth,
it was great to meet each of you guys and share our views on
our beloved cars
until the next time
ciao gerry Grin Grin Grin

A great show  and a fine day with good weather. I even got a suntan (well, a bright red face at least  Grin Undecided)

It was good to meet old and new friends and put faces to some of the posts on this forum.

131s were well represented with Simon's Abarth (in its prime spot again), Andy's pretend Abarth (and very well pretending indeed - the car looks better every time I see it), Wayne's orange Sport (another car that looks better every time I see it) and yours truly's gunmetal 131 Sport.

So which was my favourite exhibit of the day? Well, not quite 100% Italian but the one car I would have loved to go home with was the Monteverdi  Cheesy Wink

... although the Maserati Kyalami was a very close second  Smiley

And if she said she was going to I for one wouldn't stop her Shocked Wink Her 'red eyes' tell their own story! Shocked

Great day out yesterday at Brooklands, only slightly let down by the 25 minutes it took to get into the venue - at 9am!! The Brooklands marshalls simply haven't got a clue how to cope with such a large turn out. Perhaps they should go a trainning course Undecided

Wonderful to meet up with a whole number of people I haven't seen for a while. Andy and Anita, Wayne and Mick (they seem to go every where as a 'couple' Grin!), Ger and Gerafiori (don't know if they are though), and not forgetting my ole mate 'T'eo'! Cheesy

I too managed to get some colour, much to the delight of my missus when I got home. Still, at least it proved that I wasn't in the pub all day!!

Here's to 3MA08 and the GKMR when I'll see most of these guys again!!

Didn't see any Trevis, 132s or Argentas but there were both a 130 Coupe and a 130 Saloon.

Nice cars on the show. I am an incredible fan of 130 berlina's, so very great to see another nice example. And 4 131's is in Holland very uncommon!
The Monteverdi could also be my choice. Last year I was in Basel-Binningen to visit the small Monteverdi museum but is was closed and only open for groups after appointment, sh.......... It is incredible what Peter Monteverdi did for a serious period! What a great car!!!
