Nearly bought this 1400TC car a few years ago. Located just north of Paris. Price started at ?1500, dropped to ?1400, I offered ?1200 but seller wouldn't budge. I didnt have my Sport at the time so my heart wasn't in it. Only 25000 kms from new and a possibly the best colour for this version in my opinion.? Cheesy

Looks like a nice car and good value in the current climate at that price, although at the time it probably seemed a lot of money. Unlike you however, blue is not my favourite 131 colour. If I was buying one however, colour is not a factor I would take into consideration.

Sorry Dave, colour for me is a consideration - especially this particular blue  Cool 613 - Azure if I remember correctly Wink My first series 3 was in this colour, so I have fond memories of it.

The 1400TC would put me off tho as I'd prefer a 2000TC Grin

If I remember correctly my next door neighbour had a series 3 4 door super in that blue. His final 131 which followed it was a very late 131 super estate car which I think was a light green metallic colour.

If I was looking to buy a 131 and a car came up for sale which was in the condition I wanted and at the correct price for me then I would buy it regardless of colour. A colour I really liked would be a bonus, but colour would not prevent me from buying the car.

For me the condition and price is a much more important factor, as is having ownership of a 131.

I agree entirely Dave that condition is the biggest factor when considering the purchase of any 131, followed closely by 'completeness' and price, but if I saw a 613 blue 2000TC Super 4 door for sale then condition wouldn't be the highest thing on the list for me Grin especially if the registration was XPE 613Y Grin

Is your old super still up and running somewhere? Do a check on the DVLA database if you have not done so already. If not you could paint another 131 that colour and fit a set of plates to it and imagine!

I've not checked DVLA to be honest Dave. Don't know how to Undecided but I have my doubts. I sold it back in 1991 when I purchased my 1.6 DGT SX Tipo and it was pretty worn out even then. The engine was shot (big ends had gone) and the body was starting to rot big time unfortunately. The new owner was going to drop a diesel engine into it Shocked

I've often thought about getting another 2000TC series 3 Super and painting it 613 blue, but I've now run out of funds and space so it will all have to wait a little longer Cry

According to the DVLA the tax was last due in 1995. It is showing as 2445cc and 'Heavy Oil'. So it looks like the new owner did fit the diesel engine to it. It is currently listed as unlicensed which I think means it could be sitting somewhere or could have been scrapped. I'm not sure, let me try the search on something I know is scrapped.....

Just checked my old LHD Argenta (which has been scapped and they know it has) and it comes up exactly the same. So the good old DVLA does not help us to find out whether it has been scrapped or not!  Angry

 Smiley
My friend Steve at Donington has the Mk3 Super in this blue I'm certain, is it called Azure blue ?
By the way the registration number of his car is CNY286Y.
IMHO it is not the most flattering colour but then again is pale yellow much better ?
I like the greys / siver etc.

or if your  friendly with a policeman get him 2 run the reg no
or the motor tax office iv done this a good few times chances are its been scrapped
