Fiat power No mercy !!!

« on: May 08, 2008, 08:06:09 PM »

Hello!
I saw my 131 on Internet and bought it over the phone!
Its 2:door 1600 not TC from -81 only 87000km , It has been in a garage for the last seven years!
But still some rust on the drivers door, and some beating on the front fender..

I had problem to get it home because the cooler was broken, so i could not drive it home ,the next problem was to get it home from the north of Sweden 1400km from where i live to a reasonable price!

After a few weeks i just called a car transport company to bring it home, i could not wait any longer to find a cheaper way to get it home!

So the transport costs was 3 times more expensive than the car!!
But now its home!!

That looks like a very good base for a restoration project. Brilliant work! Grin Another 131 saved from almost certain death. Cheesy

I don't have a problem with the old pushrod engine - I have two cars with this type of unit and they run just fine. Maybe not as quiet or powerful as the TC, but still powerful enough and very economical on petrol.

Brilliant 131lover - I wish I could fine another 131 Cool I haven't purchased one since I got my Racing back in 2005.  Roll Eyes

Hello Simon!
I have a 2l engine that i plan to put in it, when the time is enough i have a Ragatta 100s engine that i plan to use the pistons from to put in  the 2l.

My plan is to build a 131 sport look a like with WR spoilers and the  plastic bumpers and double round lights.
Where i live there wasn't any sports imported, only supermirafiori with 2l engine!
It looks OK under, sills and floor!!

Wow, those sills look in great condition Wink - especially considering how much time the car has spent so close to the Arctic Circle Shocked I think you have found yourself a very good car there Alf. Cool

Personally I'd rather see the car preserved in it's current form, especially as most of it is still in original, non-rusted condition, but I understand your passion for having a Racing/Sport replica Grin

Are those headlight washers I can see? Were they standard on Swedish cars, or have they been fitted recently?

Its better far north in Sweden because they dony use salt on the roads, its to cold so the snow dont melt even with salt!
Upp there you can still see cars 30 years old that looks like 5-7 years old with very litle rust!
On this car there are only highpressure wash from the bumper to the light!
I put in a shot on my donor 132 with real washers!!!

Iam so happy to have found this car with very litle rust on, ..
I really want to have a sport, but here you cant find any, thats the way it is ,if you dont have them ,you want them!!

A very nice base for a sport!! Do you have parts otherwise to complete this example into a sport??

Good luck with the car!

Well, I don't know really if i have, I have never seen any racing in real life!

I have a rear bumper in plastic, looking for a front bumper, same as 1600 supermirafiori? and I have found double round lights from a early special, a 2l tc engine, and WR spoilers roof and trunk.

But the front spoiler and black things on the fenders, The spoiler is plastic i think but the black on the fenders are they painted or same as the front spoiler?

I could use some help here to define whats on a real sport that I don't have!

Watch first closely at the pictures from Sports. You always can ask me and the other guys showing sport parts. Frontbumper of a Super has longer sides.
Just ask and I can tell a lot about sports!
