So, my Abarth has 2 small inner and outer headlights, whereas some, like Simons has the 2 smaller outer and 2 larger inner headlights, can someone give me a full run down of why, when and where, so to speak?

The 'factory standard' (if there is such a thing Wink) Stradale had 4 lights all the same size, exactly the same as the production 131 Special. Cars with wider outers and small inners tend to have been retro fitted with the Sport/Racing grille, whereas cars like mine have had the grille cut to accommodate larger inners (high beam) items - often originally 131 Sport/Racing outers (as in my case) or Strada/Ritmo outers (these have 'flatter' glass than the 131 Sport items), although others can easily be made to fit. Wink

Not to the best of my knowledge there wasn't but I don't know if there was ever a 'competition' grille manufactured with bigger inners.

My outers are standard (same as 131 Special) at about 14cm and my inners are 18cm, others could well be 20cm. Wink

I take it the Sport brackets that hold both size lamps are simply just reversed L to R  or S to D?

The grills have looked  'modified' on any of the Fanalone type cars I've seen up close so perhaps Abarth just used a template to cut them to size........anyone out there know different  Huh

I'll have to take a proper look at the set up on my car Gra as the Sport inners are even smaller than the standard Special inners, so I'm not sure how they are fitted Huh. When I get a moment I'll take a few pics of my set up and post to this thread. Wink One thing for sure tho is that I can remove my grille without the need to remove the headlamps from the car as well so they must be held in somehow Huh

Yes but with the Special lamps on the outer, am I right in thinking the Special lights that are slightly bigger will still fit in the Sport brackets?
