The car was caught in the backyard of a seller ready to be scrapped as the owner has bought a new car and has taken advantage of goverment incentives for scrapping old an polluting cars. What a stupid thing.....

I know of many people who think like this and it is a crime to see such beautiful old cars in showroom condition being sent off to the crusher.They think when the car is so old that it is worth nothing and that no one wants it.Eugene

someone is trying to save it asking the scrapyard owner to keep the car safe until he collects all papers to save it, but in practice the car has gone as there is a "destruction certificate"......

Now that is a big shame - The original and cheapest Fiat 131 - Very nice original condition and a good basis for a Sport conversion if one so wished... Huh

it features some interesting options like rear opening windows, not standard in low end version.
