My next project......

WWW
« on: April 14, 2014, 09:05:12 PM »

Finally found a couple of pictures of my Father's 131 from back in the day. My 131 Supermirafiori project is going to be a replica of this car. It's the reason I always wanted a 131 four door and not a sport.

Yes that's me in the photos I would be about 10 or 11 in them I guess.

Love the pics, the replica is a great idea  Smiley  Is this one a late S2 Super?  14'' wheels and no plastic behind the rear reg plate?

It was a 79 V. Reasonably early one had the full beige velour and a single spoke steering wheel.

Was the steering wheel replaced on it Dave ? It has the later wheel 2 spoke steering wheel, the single spoke wheel can brake & were replaced with later 2 spoke ones. Think that Fiat did have a recall but most of them were never replaced Undecided

yes, looking at the photo it looks like it has the later two spoke steering wheel. I was sure it had a single spoke wheel but perhaps that was an invention of my memory Roll Eyes

What happened to the car for the tax to be cancelled (permanently) mid way through a month on 14/9/88?

My Father sold it about 83/84. It went to a contact of his in the motor trade and then to auction I believe. I know nothing about it after that. I guess it ended up getting scrapped due to rust like most 131s in the UK did.
