I find myself once again a 3MA Voyeur.
Good luck to all, safe and happy motoring.
May their be many new and many reunited friendships.
I look forward to seeing lots of photos soon.
Best regards
Steve

The further south in Europe you go the more interesting the secenery. While yesterday's spin of 700kms was mostly grey motorways today saw us pass through Switzerland, Lake Lucerne and onwards to the Alps. We crossed via the St Gotthard Pass and the climb in 6 twin cam two litre 131s in close proximity through the hairpin and S bends is a memory we'll keep for a long time!  Wink

Day 2 of 3MA is almost complete and consisted of a trip up one leg of Lake Como to Bellagio and taking the ferry to the other side before returning south and back to our hotel. The Italian lakes are spectacular and worth a visit. Slow convoying around the snaking twists and turns with very appreciative Italian waving and horn honking. More than a few times we heard oooooh cento Trento uno as we passed by! Simons Abarth is the real show stealer though with young and old of all genders paying huge interest.

Day 3 of 3MA is complete having spent the afternoon in the Fiat museum that we've been trying to see since 2009! It was closed last time we were here. They are open to the public every Sunday by the way. Other days by appointment. It's well worth a visit and I'll post up some pics soon. It takes about an hour with the guided tour. I asked what about the Fiat models not on display and I was told that Fiat is likely to have examples of every car made since 1963 but that they are not on display to the public!

We're now sitting down to dinner in Moncalieri trying to organise a roof top visit to Lingotto tomorrow. Not sure if we'll be successful...if we are it will be on foot only.

At 2222 metres high the carburettors were gasping for air but the views were breathtaking.

For me that's what is was all about: bringing her home after 36 years of faithful service. You might laugh about it, but for me it was a deeply emotional moment when we pulled up in front of the Mirafiori plant, where it all began.
