Title: fan sensor temp Post by: jasonh131 on August 03, 2008, 09:26:33 PM hi anyone found a fan temp sensor the comes in earler ,mine doesn't come in till 2/3 rds off the way up almost , there was a web site im sure it was in usa that does a switch to your spec or a lot lower than

The book says the fan should come on between 90 & 94deg/C. The thermostat should start opening between 83 & 87deg/C and be fully open by 95deg/C. If you bring the fan on earlier, the engine's just getting up to operating temperature and then the fan's trying to cool it down.

more fuel efficent with out getting to hot... Title: Re: fan sensor temp Post by: Thotos on August 09, 2008, 09:20:40 AM Are you sure it's not the thermostat not opening too late? If the water thermostat opens late, you only get hot water in the radiator when it's too hot and the fan will only come on when the radiator has hot water flowing through it. Connect the fan wires together so it's on all the time and if the engine still rans a bit hot then you should change the water thermostat.
