Title: AGO 261W - Where is it now? Post by: kev131 on December 24, 2007, 07:51:43 PM I came across the existence of this car while looking for my first Sport - The pictures were of the car when it resided in London somewhere and date from the early nineties.

I bought this car as a wreck in late 1990 in I think october. The car had been in a gatwick car compound since it was five years old and I got it when it was ten years old and had been sitting outside for five years. Title: Re: AGO 261W - Where is it now? I bought a new drivers door for it from Ricambio in banstead in 90 or early 91 for ?265, as you can see the original was shot but as I recall the other side was ok as I think it was half in and half out of the building in the gatwick compound where it had sat for those five years. Apparently the owner had left it there and never returned to pick it up ! Also bought a new scuttle panel for it from Fiat for as I recall ?65 It also needed some floor plates welded but the chassis sections were solid. The mileage was only 70 k at the time and the car drove great and everything was quiet and still tight. I do remember driving it home from gatwick and the rear tyres were worn down to the steel where they must have been spinning it round the compound. |
