Andy,

We need to allow for any mishaps along the way but what time does the event open? We were late last year and ended up having to drive through the crowd to get to our allotted plot. We don't really want to do that again this year if we can help it.

I'm happy to meet at Reading services again.

Right then. If the event opens to the public at 9am and we can get in from 7am I suppose we should set up on site by 8.30  Huh and it's an hour and a half almost to Combe from Reading Services so are we meeting at 07.00am? Shocked

Andy, give us a time and we'll be there. Wink

OK then, 07.30h at Reading Services on the M4 - west bound. Cool

Graham, knowing your "fondness" for being late, if you aim to be there for 05.00h we should all arrive at the same time tomorrow morning! Shocked Cheesy Wink Grin Wink

Only two cars on the www.131mirafiori.com stand this year which was probably just as well as the plot wasn't exactly huge! Roll Eyes Andy and I "flew the flag", (we must get ourselves a flag for these kind of shows Wink) and yes Jason, we did take our cameras - pics will be posted up when I get a minute. Cool

Lots of interest generally, not least because our two cars gave a welcome relief on the eye among the sea of Subaru Imprezzas, Mitzy Evos and assorted 'sporting' Ford Focuses! Roll Eyes It was a bit 'chav city' in part but the weather and traffic were kind and the event generally well organised, so it made for a good day out. Grin

How not to start a conversation with me about my car - "Has it had much welding?"  Angry Angry Angry Roll Eyes

Pics will be posted in due course.

Simon

Other meaningless boring comments could have been:

1) Has it got any filler.

2) Wouldn't you rather have an Imprezza, Evo (the thought of it)!!

3) The RS Escort was a better Car.

4) The RS Escort was a more successful Rally Car. Ignorance.

5) It's not worth as much as my fully chaved up 2.8i Capri.

Can anyone else add to the list of such comments.

How about this one?

Which type of Lada is this?

Something what happened to me a couple of years ago. It was in the middle of summer and window was open:

I was waiting for right turn before a traffic light in my Stradale. Car stops left of me. Mother and son. The son says:"look mom, a Maserati". I said:"no kid, this is a FIAT"... You should have seen his face.... Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
