Hello Gents,
Me again after a long spell of trouble free 1300CL motoring.
MOT time today and rear bulb needed replacing but the plastic screws sheared off. So can't get the rear light off to change the bulb.....

Any tips on how to remove the screws with the sheared off ends?

Thanks in advance.

Oh yes . only thing you can do is brake the rest of the head off ....
always push in the lens against the foam seal , then undo the the plastic screws

and never do them up tight back off 1/4 turn

you can use a  self taper screw and a washer, after you drill a small hole in the stub if it doesn't come out  Wink

Hi,
OK, I carefully snapped off the remaining bits of plastic screw-heads using a small chisel and hammer.  Then the lense can be pulled off with the screws still in place.  The screws are metal with plastic screw heads on the ends, I guess so they look nicer than metal screw heads showing.
Once the lense if off, you can use pliers to unscrew the remaining metal screws.

But, now I have another problem! See my latest post.
