Hi

I have the 1600cc twincam engine (131.c3000). Does anyone know the proper torque to tight the headbolts from the cylinder head. Also can someone describe the  stages (steps) to tight the cylinder head.

Thanks

Head torque;  but engine looks to be older, Hm  old engine are torqued to Spec.    later engines use stretch bolts which are torqued then turned through an angle.  We decided to go for the older Torque to Spec. the bolts look like normal bolts not wasted like some stretch bolts.

20, 40, 60ft/lb, from the inside bolts out. Make sure you run a tap through the block holes, clean the bolt threads, then lube threads and washers.
