131mirafiori forum

Ever since I sold my white 131 I've been looking for a replacement...without any luck so far.

Ideally I'd like a 2000 or 1600 but will consider another 1400 as they seem more common. Not interested in diesels.

I'm constantly looking in all the usual places, Subito, Autoscout, Mobile.De...Can anyone suggest any other good sites...? Or maybe someone has one tucked away and has decided to let it go....I'll promise it a good home!!!  ;)

You will find it hard to find one as good as the white one Kev  :D

Its a long shot but now and then 131's come up on PistonHeads too.
They seem to come up in Holland, Sweeden and Germany too, so contact the members from these places on the site here and you never know  ;)

I quite fancy tone of these Seat versions too, i like them.

I would like to see a few more photo's of that blue Super, can you put some more photo's up of it ?

There was a very nice silver S3 1600/TC sold last year ?4-?4500. There is a few still out there  :)

Very happy  ;D with the white Super, it only gets out in the very dry weather I don't like getting it wet !
I will not be at Durrow as I don't take the Super to shows and it's to far away.

Perhaps they rust less too ;)

For me a series 2 would win over a series 3 every time ;)

Better looking without all the plastics, better quality trim and better built, for example the exterior door handles are metal and not plastic.

Less performance as they were only fitted with engines up to 1600cc but that's not really an issue for me.

I guess we all have our personal opinions on which series is best ;)

Hmm - Not at that price - If it was a 131 Super 2.0 in that colour ...then it would appeal...and I know how ironic that sounds.  :)

But you are right about the price of that Blue Trevi. It's been for sale at that price for a very long time and will stay for sale for an extremely long time at that price.

I assume the Sport will be going into a semi permanent hibernation to preserve its condition and the proposed acquisition (131 Super) would be used more regularly and for events such as 3 MA.

I can see the logic and any Super would be nice, although a S2 would be my first choice.

I do however like the look of that Trevi  ;D ;D.

Whatever you do, it is a nice choice to have  ;D ;D

Spot on Rob - I'm not a fan of driving around Europe in it so a nice Super before May would be very welcome... :)

It is always nice to have a car to cherish. My Red 330i Sport stands out together with an E30 320i stand out as cars that I really cherished  :).

The current pair just about get a clean  ;D ;D

As for the 2011 Jaguar XF 3.0 Diesel that I looked at last week. That would be seriously cherished (if bought) ;D :D

Actually while a top speed of 98mph doesn't sound much, the car is very lively and keeps up with modern traffic with surprising ease. It's peppy in all gears and the engine is sweet and very happy to rev. In fact I think it's the typical sporty boxy Fiat that excited family car drivers all those years ago.....in other words loads of character & fun. It misses the bigger lungs of the 2000 although when I drove one of these last Summer, the difference didnt feel huge.  :)

More nice cars - isn't it strange that the Seat seems to be more expensive...?

That interior trim on the S2 is standard Chris - The Seats tended to be more luxuriously trimmed than the equivalent Fiats.

Yes I know about this one too thanks. Had some pictures sent and when I asked was the mileage genuine I was told that it could be 100,000 higher.  ???

I know the bumpers could be changed but I'm not a fan of silver Fiats. I'm really looking for Blue, Red or Copper. Thanks for the suggestion though.

all original parts are still available. and honestly, the car drives fantastic but I'm thinking of searching/buying a volumetrico or racing. I'm still in doubt.  And the price may be a little too high. As I said, the car doesn't HAVE to go.

Your not a fan of Silver or Gold. I am not a fan of Gold, but find the Silver quite nice although not first choice in a S3 Super (Much nicer in Met Blue / Red). Silver with the Blue interior on a S2 Super is a great combination.

However with the correct trim the Gold one looks to be the right car. Isn't it always the way, Right Car, Wrong Colour ??? ???.

Clean CL, I would put a 2.0 twin cam engine in it, this would make it into a very nice 131  :)

Many on the Forum, especially Simon and Kev love that Blue Colour for a S3 131 Super  :). I personally am not that keen  :-\ and for some reason associate this colour with S3 CL's.

My Uncle did have an Argenta in this colour. I never saw another Argenta in that colour  :o.
