Anybody know who and where I can get the door keys cut for a mk2 131 sport as I have lost them, not that bad as the car isnt locked but I will have to dismantle the lock so I can get the four digit number off the back of the barrel if anyone still keeps the blanks and cuts them ?

I think you can ask directly fiat in Turin starting from your chassis number, they still keep this information.

Thanks, but are the locks original ? I know they are the same as when I bought the car in 1995 but I will give it a go and if I give them the barrel number they should be able to confirm ?

don't you guys have a local locksmith???
any half decent locksmith ought to have the blanks since they're still produced by all major key blank manufacturers and should also be able to make a key to fit an existing lock. such a service would cost 10e for first one and 3e for every copy in my part of the world

Lock smiths over here charge an arm and a leg,  I have found where I can get blanks but its no good as I will only have the barrel number and not a key to copy. I need to find an old Fiat garage etc who has the records to tally the number with the key.  Alternative is to buy a pair of new barrels with keys but havent found a pair yet with the same locks and mk3 131s are different barrels.

Nick, I am after the barrels and/or keys for a 1980 mk2 sport that has the original metal door handles but as I remember mk3 with plastic door handles is different barrel. I will ask Yagmur and see if he does the earlier type. Also I think barrels on mk2 131 are the same as Fiat 128 ?

found these on Ebay and they are for a Lada Niva and the door handles look the same design as did the early Lada saloons as I remember, I have ordered these door barrels and keys as they look spot on from the picture, they are coming from Russia and the cost is ?18.39p to my door for parts and postage ! Bargain.  Obviously the ignition lock lock wont fit but I dont need that. Will keep you posted when they arrive.

Sorry that i didn't see this post earlier.Alan Bird in Cumbria(Lada UK Dealer) would have had the Lada Niva door lock barrels. Now it looks as Lada and Fiat are brothers and not first cousins Roll Eyes Grin Cheesy ;)Eugene
