Title: Cover car opportunity at Mondello Live Post by: kev131 on June 16, 2011, 09:19:23 PM The editor of Irish Vintage Scene magazine was in touch earlier this evening to make an offer to owners of the 131s that attended the Portumna photo shoot last July.
The magazine is joint promoter of the Mondello Live event (this weekend 19th June) and have a stand each year where cars that have appeared on the magazine cover or in an article are invited to be part of their display. If anyone is interested please let me know as soon as possible. A free pass for a car and two passengers will be at the gate for the first person to apply. You will need to be there at 10am at the latest and the earliest you can leave I believe is just after lunch time, approx 2pm. The event itself is all over at 5.0pm. I've never been at this event myself but I understand that it is a big event for car clubs and might be something to appeal to Irish Fiat owners ...maybe for next year if we can get ourselves organised. Attendees can apply to do some laps at speed and there is a programme of historic racing during the day along with some high powered cars entertaining the crowd from time to time. http://www.mondello.ie/ |
