I will be at Gaydon, unfortunately I won't have my 131  Embarrassedas it's in lots of bits in the garage at the moment in great need of someone who is a good welder.

It will be good to get along any way (despite the french thing  >:(I will be driving) to meet some of you and have a general chat about all things 131.

Hi Mick,

The welding list as it stands is both rear wheel arches, some of the floor, bulk head (where the heater motor is located), battery tray and the driver's seat mounting.

I am hoping to take engine and gear box to come out in the next few weeks so the list will most probably grow...I am on the North Essex coast in St Osyth.

Hi guys,

Well I've been out of the loop for a while due to other factors so I thought it was time to step back in.

I'm planning to be at Gaydon with my Volumetrico, so I'll see you there.

Lets hope it stays dry this year  Wink

Yes Jason, I wonder why one of us chose to bring a Gumma instead of their 131?

Oh well at least the 131's present looked damn fine!  Cool

Yes a great day, good weather (for a change!? Roll Eyes) and a great event; well attended and four 131s!

I wonder why one of us chose to bring a Gumma instead of their 131?

Well, because I could!? Grin Also by doing so I kept the numbers equal with four 131s and four Gammas present so the natural order of the universe was preserved!? Grin Grin Mind you, a lot of people told me off for not being there in the 131 and in fact Anita said "what's that 'orrible brown car you came in!" . But she did change her opinion of my Gamma  once I demonstrated the special passenger seat feature!? Shocked Grin

Here's some of my photos of the day:

And here's the 'orrible brown car (according to Anita):

Yes, a great day out in the sunshine (eventually Roll Eyes) after driving through fog on the M40.

Good to see four 131s make the effort - shame about the fifth (eh T)! Wink Grin A good showing of forum members from across the country - mick131, andy c and 'Nita, phil, jasonh131, Gremlino, me and Thotos.

Lovely colour brown that Gumma Theo, Anita particularly liked it Kiss

The journey home took a turn for the worse though as the M40 ground to a halt at High wycombe (no real surprise there) Roll Eyes. So a quick squirt down the A404 to the M4, A33 and cross country back home - it actually made for a nice change.

Fuel economy was down on the Arbie though had to stop and get fuel at Oxford services - robbing gits they are too! Shocked Perhaps the points have closed up - and before any one says 'its electronic ignition cos its a 2 litre', well, it isn't - good ole points and condenser on this Abarth! Grin

I know I keep talking about it, but I shall run a small meet sometime in early November now probably, for all 131 forum members who want to attend. A short 'follow the leader' drive through rural Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire followed by lunch 'chez moi' - assuming the missus can run to it! Grin Cheesy Wink
