Would anyone on here have info they could post up on the wiring diagram
from a magneti marelli ''electronic ignition / coil pack  to  a  cam mounted distributor on a 131 engine ?

the electronic ignition unit has a couple of connections coming off it ..

That should be an easy one,  I have this setup on my Brava.  It's pretty simple 2 wires coming off the coil that go into the module and 2 wires that come off the bottom of the module go to the ignition trigger in the distributor.  I'll look into my book.  Mike Stinson

thanks .. this is actually a problem I am trying to sort for a friend of mine who has an escort mk1 with a fiat twin-cam engine in it ..
the engine has a crank shaft sensor on the front & rear of the crank , this is some aftermarket set up.. but the marelli unit has 6 spade connections on it ..
trying to see what the original or standard set up was.. as the auto electrician he had working on re-wiring the complete can can't figure out the wiring on the marelli module

I think we may be confusing the bosch with the marelli setup.

Just trying to sort out a mate with some information .. I have never paid any attention to what ignition system the car runs but I have been told marelli , so trying to get some info on it ..
I have a feeling that the marelli system is not originally from a 131 as I don't understand why its running a crank sensor , unless any of the America injected 131's have a crank sensor ?
No idea where the engine originally came from .. ???

It can be from an Argenta,if I remember right they have crank sensor and a type of Speedo sensor on the flywheel,that makes up for 2of the connections!
I have a fiat manual somewhere for Argenta,if its not been missing.
