They also have "For offroad use only", or something similar, cast into the caliper bracket.

If you had an accident and the insurance assessor bothered to do his homework they can deny payout on a claim. Worse still, if another party is injured you may be liable for compensation. Every 131 owner knows the brakes of 131s are crap. So why should an insurance company make problems of better brakes? Fortunately this is never a problem here in Holland. One can make any modification. then again, wider and softer tyres do too. |
