No dust seals in the calipers, so not legal for road use. They also have "For offroad use only", or something similar, cast into the caliper bracket.

They're illegal for road use in Australia. If you had an accident and the insurance assessor bothered to do his homework they can deny payout on a claim. Worse still, if another party is injured you may be liable for compensation. But yes, you'd have to be unlucky to get noticed.

Tas,

Every 131 owner knows the brakes of 131s are crap. So why should an insurance company make problems of better brakes?
Fortunately this is never a problem here in Holland. One can make any modification. As long as one doesn't change the number of cilinders or stretch/shorten the car, there is no problem. :) :)

I've got Regata 100S discs and calipers on the front of my 131, and a 132 disc rearend, all factory Fiat parts so not likely to raise eyebrows!

I was never fond of Regattas. I guess these brakes are better then standard ones?

just bigger diameter, for 14" wheels, same as 132 2000/argenta but with floating calipers. are they really better than standard 131 brakes? not really but rear discs do make a world of diference.
then again, wider and softer tyres do too.
